Japanese divorce
Posted by Anonymous . updated on 11/26/2008
I am American and was married in California on vacation. I was living in Japan at the time. I then got divorced in Japan and have since moved to Italy. My problem is that i can not find an attorney who can register my japanese divorce in California. No one has any experience that I have contacted. Is there any lawyers who could register my japanese divorce?

Your divorce can be recognized in Italy with a sentence of the Court of Appeal of the italian region where you are living.

What is your objective? We may be of better assistance if we knew what you were trying to accomplish. You can have an international attorney service register the order in California--if that's what you're trying to do.
