Boss claims its not covered under workers comp
Posted by Anonymous . updated on 1/2/2009
I was injured while working at my restaurant job one night. I was waiting tables and a fight broke out. In the process of escorting the troublemaker out the door i got blindsided by one of them in the face on the sidewalk outside the bar. I had to go to the ER and get stitches and a CAT scan for a hairline fracture. I only missed one day of work, but now have 3,000 dollars worth of medical bills. My Boss claims I'm not covered under workers comp because I was outside the bar, even though I was working and still on the clock. Is this correct?
