How do I notify my Legal Employer of the hours I am working?
At the end of every day you can log your hours through LegalForce and give a short description of what you accomplished for that day. At the end of the week your Legal Employer will approve your hours for that week. You are also free to communicate with your Legal Employer in any other fashion that is mutually agreed upon.

Can I work overtime?
It depends. Before working overtime you need to check with your Legal Employer to see if they are willing to pay overtime rates. For example, in California overtime is paid as time and a half. Definitely check with your Legal Provider before putting in more than 8 hours a day or more than 40 hours in any one week.

How do I deliver the work?
It is really up to your Legal Employer. Work done onsite may be turned in directly to your supervisor. Work done offsite may be emailed or if done through an online tool, can most likely be tracked by your employer. Ask your supervisor what works best for them.

Do I work onsite or offsite?
Whether you work onsite or offsite is up to your Legal Employer. Most job postings will specify whether the job is expected to take place in their office or if it can be done remotely. If the Legal Employer prefers someone to be onsite then make sure you have a means of transportation to get there reliably.

How do I communicate with my Legal Employer?
Ultimately, it is up to you how you communicate, but you can always communicate through internal LegalForce messaging if that is easiest for you. When an interview is set up, both parties receive each other’s contact information such as outside email address as well as phone number and instant messenger.
