actually attended HLS. And I did so RECENTLY to boot, not 10 years ago. HLS has changed over the years, and the newest, high-energy dean is Elena Kagan, a lesbian professor who has revitalized the community.
As for less-formal extracurriculars, I can't possibly classify it all in one sitting, but think in terms of wine tasting, show-shoeing, lots of movie nights, LOTS of "bar reviews" and pub-crawls (hey this IS Boston), etc. I liked to hang out with the international students and grad students at other, non-law, Harvard graduate programs. Every year there are some big events like the Salsa dance or the HLS Drama Society's plays, chiefly the Parody in which students perform musicals parodying their classmates, HLS professors, or HLS culture in general.
