Joshua Pearson is an associate in Cooley's Business Department. He joined the firm in 2005 and is resident in the San Diego office.
Mr. Pearson’s practice focuses on the representation of publicly-traded and emerging growth companies in general corporate matters as well as a wide range of transactions, including public debt and equity offerings, private placements, venture capital financings and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Cooley, Mr. Pearson was a corporate associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Austin, Texas, where he primarily worked on general corporate matters, including public company representations, corporate governance compliance, high yield debt financings and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Pearson received his J.D. cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2001 where he was a member of the San Diego Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in 1997 where he majored in government and philosophy.
Mr. Pearson is a member of the the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association.
