David Murphy is a member of the firm's Public Finance and Native American Law practice areas, with an emphasis on tax-exempt municipal finance. He practices in the area of public finance, including bond counsel and underwriter's counsel, non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations and Native American financing.
David represents underwriters, state, municipal and other governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, Native American tribes and credit providers for hospital, nursing home and other healthcare financings; charter school and higher education financings; multifamily housing financings, student loan financings, industrial development financings, and Native American governmental facilities and casinos.
David provides a variety of pro bono services, including assisting in the formation of Hope Chest News, a nonprofit corporation providing education and services related to lung transplantation. David serves on the Alumni/ae Counsel for St. Paul Academy and Summit School and he also volunteers for Carleton College. In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his family,
reading and playing golf.
