Veronica Vilarchao is an associate in Foley's Tax & Individual Planning, Tax & Employee Benefits and International Practices, focusing on various areas such as international transactions and taxation, corporate taxation, federal tax controversies and tax-exempt entities. She is also a member of the firm's Estates & Trusts Practice.
A significant component of Ms. Vilarchao's practice involves structuring U.S. investments of non U.S. persons, offshore tax and estate planning for non U.S. persons and pre-immigration and expatriation tax planning.
Ms. Vilarchao received her J.D. in 1999 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her LL.M. in taxation (2002) from the University of Florida. She earned a B.A. (cum laude, 1993) from the University of Miami in international finance and marketing.
She is admitted to practice in Florida; the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida; and the United States Tax Court. She is a member of the Tax, Business Law, and Real Property, and Probate & Trust Law Sections of the Florida State Bar Association.
