I am the Principal of the Law Office of Winifred Cannon, practicing primarily in the area of business law. My Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics (1976) and Master of Arts in International Relations (1980) were obtained from the University of Maryland while my law degrees, Juris Doctor (1983) and Master of Laws (2005) were received from Antioch School of Law and Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, respectively. I am a member in Good Standing of the State Bars of Texas, Maryland and West Virginia. During the 23 year span of my legal career, I have served as lead counsel in numerous trials in state and federal courts while in private practice. My public sector work included employment at the Texas Workforce Commission Appeals Division as a Hearing Officer and the U.S. Small Business Administration as an Attorney Advisor. I am currently employed on a contract basis for the JonesDay Law Firm in the area of Securities Law.
