Philip Colton's Summary
Philip T. Colton is a shareholder with Winthrop & Weinstine, practicing in the areas of corporate finance and securities law, broker-dealer regulation, mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. He has served as corporate and transactional counsel to a number of successful companies in a number of industries. During 1999 to 2001, Philip served as General Counsel/Senior Vice President to a large regional securities brokerage/clearing firm, with an active software/web-based technology division. Phil’s technical and practical experience provide a depth of expertise in a wide variety of business and financial transactions, including public and private debt and equity financings, SEC/NASD/Blue Sky Regulatory Matters, acquisition transactions, venture capital investments and the like. Following graduation, Phil clerked for the Honorable Glenn E. Kelley of the Minnesota Supreme Court.
