I graduated with top grades, from top ranked law schools, hold an LL.M. in corporate, securities and banking law from Boston University where I graduated 7th in my class and wrote for the Law Review. I have extensive experience in all areas of general corporate law, insurance and banking regulations, federal securities and state blue-sky law and all required SEC filings, contract drafting and review, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, e-commerce and general internet law. My accomplishments have included participating in corporate closings in excess of 4.7 billion dollars, joint ventures and serving as primary counsel on public stock offerings. As an explanation for my career path, I began my career at John Hancock in their securities division as a Contract Attorney in Boston, MA, reviewing restricted securities, and also worked at McDermott, Will & Emery as a Contract Attorney. I relocated to Washington, DC to work in Mutual Funds at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, and was offered a substantial salary increase, affording me the opportunity to better care for an ill parent. Thereafter, I relocated to Miami at the request of my fiancé where I worked as a Corporate, Securities Attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Broad and Cassel then offered a position with the promise to achieve partnership quickly and I accepted. Regrettably, the economy began to suffer, particularly in the area of Corporate and Securities Law, and the department was nearly eliminated at that firm. Fortunately, a former partner at Broad and Cassel offered me a position at CyberCare, Inc., an Internet Company, as an Assistant General Counsel, however, that company also suffered the economic downturn, laying off all employees. I find myself now in private practice, performing a wide range of corporate and securities work for national clients and assisting former partners with whom I have worked, but seek to enter a larger organization in need of my skills.
