Mr. Kikoyo practices in the areas of debt restructuring and corporate refinancing, acting for lenders, bondholders and distressed investors. He also has experience in banking and finance, project finance and securitization. Mr. Kikoyo has been involved in cross-border transactions in Germany, France, Luxembourg, Spain, the Netherlands, Hungary, Mexico, South Korea, Australia, Zambia, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, he was an associate in the Financial Restructuring department of the London office of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.

Mr. Kikoyo also previously worked as Project Manager and Company Secretary for a project company of the AES Corporation USA on the development of a large hydropower facility on the Nile River, Uganda. Mr. Kikoyo was responsible for a number of project development operations including site acquisition, environmental approvals, acquisition of permits and consents, resettlement and compensation of about 10,000 residents, and gaining local and international public acceptance for the project.

Representative Matters
• Represented a syndicate of second lien lenders in the restructuring and refinancing of €405 million debt of Schefenacker plc (now Visiocorp plc), a German car parts maker.

• Advised MBIA Assurance S.A., the largest creditor to Eurotunnel plc, in the restructuring of £6.2 billion in debt from Eurotunnel plc.

• Represented the senior lenders in the restructuring of The Polestar Group Limited.

• Represented a mezzanine lender in the restructuring of Leisure Link Holdings Limited. 

• Represented an investor in their acquisition of the Mopani Copper Mines plc in Zambia.

• Represented Aldwych International Ltd. in its start-up operations, as well as its bid for a concession to develop a hydropower project in Africa.

• Advised large UK based telecommunications company in relation to a potential acquisition of Econet Wireless Nigeria Limited, a large GSM provider in Nigeria.

• Advised a servicer in relation to a £35 million loan advanced to borrower.

• Advised the lenders in relation to a €12 million loan to a German borrower.

• Advised Credit Suisse in the €1.6 billion Titan Europe 2007-4 securitization of a pool of loans.

• Advised Credit Suisse in the £564 million Cornerstone Titan 2006-1 securitization of a portfolio of loans.

• Advised Credit Suisse in the €943 million Titan Europe 2006-3 securitization of a portfolio of loans.
