 I have tremendous respect for Paul Tventenstrand.  During this very difficult market during which Thacher has felt some of Wall Street's pain, Paul has shown commitment, class, courage and creativity while leading us through the turbulence, re-directing and re-vamping our future course through pro-active business development initiatives, and helping us maintain the firm's core values, work ethics and collegiality.  These are trying times for even the grittiest of market optimists.  I support Paul's prudent decisions unequivocally, many of which I'm sure have been tough ones to make.  True leaders get us through the tough times.  I look forward to working with Paul and my other excellent Thacher colleagues for many years to come.
