Description:

Our client, a sole practitioner with a brisk Family Law practice located on the eastside, is looking for a Part-Time Legal Assistant to provide support for three months. You will be handling a variety of paralegal and legal assistant duties as detailed below:

Legal Assistant Position duties include but are not limited to:

• Draft, revise, edit and proofread legal documents and attorney correspondence;
• File legal documents with the various court systems in Washington state;
• Assist with trial preparation;
• Client contact;
• Handle highly confidential internal and external matters;
• Copying, faxing, screening phone calls

LEGAL ASSISTANT SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

To be immediately considered for this opportunity, you should have the following:

• 3 years of experience as a Family Law Legal Assistant/Paralegal;
• Knowledge of court rules and procedures preferably in the area of Family Law;
• Excellent grammar, punctuation, spelling and organizational skills;
• Experience with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Access and Needle case management a plus;
• Ability to work efficiently and interact in a positive manner with clients, attorneys and staff while under pressure or in stressful situations – A professional demeanor is a must.
